Organization Overview:
Founded in 1997, The Merritt Ministry uses special
shaped hot air balloons (JESUS & ARKY) to draw large crowds of people.
The Merritt Ministry staff, volunteers, and local church members then have
the opportunity
to
share the
gospel with the people drawn to the balloons.
Program Description:
These hot air balloons provide maximum
visual aide and draw large crowds of people. Involvement with local churches
builds
our
evangelism
team as well as provides follow thru on decisions made. Our teams are also
able to provide gospel presentations
Participant Information:
Short Term Mission Opportunity
Short & extended
trips to assist with transporting equipment to national events, crewing
for the balloons, evangelism one-on-one with local crew
people, seed planting, and gospel presentations to large crowds.
Drivers needed; will train for balloon crewing. Partial support needed;
some
expenses paid.
Long Term Mission Opportunity
Advance Team needed to visit churches to solicit local involvement.
Must be comfortable speaking with pastors. Driver/ crew chief (will train
for crewing) needed for event season or full time. Evangelism experience
a plus. Team player a must. Partial support needed. Some expenses paid.
